Okay, so I can't run a scan with my adware scanner, because it crashes and resets the computer. I don't get bluescreen, I get areset. This is consistent. I think it must be a RAM problem, the other problems I'm having seem to confirm the buggy RAM theory. Going to have Syd download and run the RAM tester when she gets home. I looked at it and the wall of options made my head swim. Techinical stuff should be left to girls.

My right knee, both shoulders and that bit of my thumb I cut months ago have all decided to send in a massive "Fuck you" notice and hurt like hell. My back is thinking of joining in. Must be the ice on the pond today or something.

HOWEVER! YesAsia is holding a big 85% off sale. I don't think I've actually bought any HK imports all year. Whole bunch of things I should get. However, I know a few people are interested so I thought I'd pass it on.

I'm with Matt, this sounds more like power supply than RAM. But I'll run the tests.

Well, I'm running at a crawl and almost everything causes the computer to freeze up now. I just had to restart because trying to run pidgin caused the thing to freeze for five full minutes before I hit the reset button.

Frankly, since this is my computer we're talking about, I'm perfectly happy to believe that it's one of those delightful combinations of the two problems. In fact, I'm sure if it is a dual problem, one probably made the other worse. That is how my luck works.
