Step 1: Write thoughtful, soul exposing post about something important to you. Take a lot of time and effort to craft your words to perfectly express your feelings.

Step 2: Post something along the line of "I like kitties"

Step 3: Watch as comments roll in agreeing about kitties while so called important post gets nothing.

1) Well-crafted thoughts often leave little room for comments. And after such a well-crafted thought, something like "Word!" often feels trite or inadequate. thus, nothing is said while scrambling to say something well-crafted.

2) Kitties are cute and fun, and it takes no effort to agree with that statement. Thus, many comments.

Many times your thought provoking posts provoke a mega ton of thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc. so that after reading it I have to ponder it and sometimes forget to go back and post.

But I do like kitties. And shiny things. And sometimes my busy brain can only focus on kitties and shiny things and waffles - let's not forget waffles.
