Evidently, Guillermo Del Toro is going to direct The Hobbit.

I guess we'll see if he's really as good as some people say or if the people who claim he's over rated are right.

I don't know, from what I've seen of his work I haven't been that impressed. However, all I've seen was Blade 2 and part of Hellboy, maybe his fantasy work is better.

I'm not that interested in seeing the book drawn out into 2 movies though.
What am I listening to?: Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes - (I've Had) The Time Of My Life

I looooooved Pan's Labyrinth. Beautifully done piece of art.

Hopefully he'll do the same for The Hobbit.

Pan's Labyrinth was very lovely and so was Devil's Backbone. I don't know about Chronos because it's not been released on DVD.

Well, Pan's Labyrinth says that he has the capacity to do it. The question is whether he can keep the mood appropriately serious without going too far.

And here's hoping that two movies means we get the book just about completely unabridged.

One good sized movie could do it. As I understand they're adding bits to fill in all the pre-LoTR stuff. Basically, one movie for the hobbit, one for a rings prequel.

Okay, and are they giving that movie the appropriate name, if all that pre-LotR stuff comes from a different book still written?
